This past weekend we were off to Chicago to meet up with some of our blogging buddies. What a great trip! Poppy was a trooper - she loved going on an airplane, riding the buses, taxis and she even got to take a horse-drawn carriage ride through the city. I had an amazing time getting to know Michelle, Elizabeth and Christine and their families.
{She loved being in Chicago "this much"!}
Um, yeah, I could definitely live here.
Poppy playing peek-a-boo with Colin. This was about the extent of Poppy playing with the other kids. Apparently 3 days wasn't enough time for her to warm up to everyone... maybe next time.

We spent lots of time at the playground, the aquarium, the Navy Pier, shopping, and just hanging out getting to know one another. Like I said before, Poppy loved getting to experience all the different modes of transportation, but when I ask her what her favorite part of the trip was, she exclaims, "PIZZA!!!". While I did enjoy the pizza, the highlight of the trip for me was getting to know these families, whose blogs I have followed for so long. We've all watched and supported each other as we brought our babies home and now we all finally got to meet in real life! We had such a great time, can't wait to do it again next year!

Yahoo! We loved meeting and hanging with you guys too!!! And I LOVE that third picture! So, so cool! If you guys do decide to move to Chicago let us know - we'll visit :)
Umm, I think we should all move to Chicago immediately. You think I am kidding?! I kid you not. Great hanging with you guys again. Hopefully we will see you before next year's gathering.
How special.... :)
Just as I told Elizabeth...and will tell Christine...I am SO jealous! I only live an hour and a half away and am totally inviting myself next time (along with my Vietnamese and Chinese girls... lol). Seriously though...looks like you had an awesome trip! So fun to finally meet bloggy people isn't it?
I'd move. Can someone find my hubby a good job there!?
I think we were so tickled with Poppy's shyness because a) we could relate and b) we have the opposite end of the spectrum in Spencer.
We had a blast... can't wait until next time!
It looks like you had a great time! Love that last picture.
AWWW!! It looks like you all had an excellent time!
I WILL be there next year - nothing will be stopping me next time!
Those are gorgeous shots - looks like a lot of fun.
Chicago is a great city! My sister lives there. Did you go into the John Hancock building? Poppy would love it! Scotty wants to know if Poppy is playing with her Thomas trains? He said it is 'so sweet' that she likes Thomas.
Fun!!! Beautiful babies!!
