Modeling her new hat Grandma knit for her...
Giving Grandma a thank you hug for her new hat and backpack!
Yesterday we headed out to Akron for Mackenzie's birthday. Poppy was excited to play with her cousins, but even more excited to get her hands on some chicken wings!
"Don't touch my chicken wings, Tucker!"
Happy 1st birthday Mackenzie!
And then check out this pic of the frost that formed on my bedroom window this morning. Isn't that amazing? And can you get a feel for how cold it is in our room?!

homemade fingerpaints
Unacceptable for the fingerpaint to actually go on her fingers.
So much more fun to pile it up on the brush.
Good times.
So I'm not one to usually complain about the weather and how long winter can seem to drag on, but man, I am sooo sick of this weather!!! We haven't been able to take our daily walk in over a week now and we're both getting a little cabin fever here. And getting both of us all bundled up to head outside is such a chore and usually ends up with a boot getting stuck in a shopping cart or a mitten left behind in a parking lot. And we still have a couple of months to go!

Museum of Play
I completely forgot about these pics from our trip to the Museum of Play a couple of weeks ago...
Would you like some tea with your fake meat and fruit?
Her favorite part of the day was definitely the kid-sized Wegman's grocery store...
We literally had to drag her out of there.
Then it was onto her guest appearace on the Elmo Show...
And after about 3 hours of chasing her from exhibit to exhibit, we were all exhausted and ready to head home.

20 months!!!
20 MONTHS?!?! That's like almost a 2 year old! Like a toddler! Time is my enemy lately. Time with Poppy is flying by way faster than I ever thought it could. There aren't enough hours in the day to get all of our fun stuff done together. And it's almost time for me to go back to work. Must stop time.
Anyways, let's talk about what this little monster has been up to this month. First of all, she is a little monster, a cute monster, but a monster none-the-less.
Remember I mentioned that she learned how to say "no" months ago? Well that was a one time thing. She literally said it to me once and then never said it again. Until this week. Everything is answered with a very affirmative "no".
When she wants to be picked up and we don't immediately follow her orders, she does this high pitched "oooooooh!", starts shaking her head and flapping her hands. And continues doing this until we pick her up. And lately, she wants to be picked up all the time.
She is usually very neat and orderly and likes to pick up her toys and put them back where they belong. Lately, if she's done playing with something, she'll just chuck it across the room or throw it on the floor, instead of putting it away. And if we ask her to clean up, she'll start running for the hills.
In addition to being a complete monster, she can also be sweet as pie. Today was all about kisses. First thing this morning, she grabbed my face with both her hands and gave me like 10 kisses. Everytime we were in the car, she was blowing kisses from the back seat. Even after a diaper change, she had to give me a few kisses before she went off to play.
My sweet little monster, watching dada leave for work.
Just found this pic on Marc's phone...New Year's Eve at the Korea House.

sledding...
She loved it!!!
This hill is in the park where we usually let Lola run like the wind. Marc took her down the hill in the sled and she broke free at the bottom and terrorized all of the kids on the hill. It was pretty funny to hear them all scream.
Tired and cold, ready to head home.
