We went for our sonogram this morning. I had absolutely no feeling either way, whether it was a boy or a girl. Marc was betting on a boy, and Poppy switched her vote to a girl as of yesterday.
We brought Poppy with us and she was really excited to see a picture of her "baby sister" and patiently waited as the sonographer took measurements of the rest of the baby first. Then she went down to the "private parts" and asked us if we could see what she could see (boy parts) and it actually took us a little while to figure it out. And then it was like "OH!!!!" When we told Poppy that it was a boy, she said, "No, it's a baby sister. I'm having a baby sister". When we re-assured her that it was indeed a boy, she actually pouted for a few minutes! And then when we asked her what we should name her baby brother, she thought for a minute and then proudly annouced, "Frog. Baby Froggy." On the way out of the office, we ran into my doctor and she asked Poppy what the baby was and she told her "Baby brother. Frog." I have no idea where this whole frog thing came from, but it's cracking us up!
Congratulations again Amanda! And I think Frog is a beautiful name. Froggy Percy Marano!

ReplyDeleteHooray! I am so excited for you all. If it makes you feel any better, I remember when Matthew found out Anna was a girl (he wanted a brother), he decided her name would be pizza. And that's what he called her for the rest of the pregnancy!
