Officially summer time.

Strawberry picking.  We tried out a different place this year and it was more of a wild strawberry field.  Sam pretty much just kept falling over, squishing strawberries left and right.  Poppy ate every single strawberry she picked.  I managed to pick 1 quart and then headed back to the strawberry stand and bought every pre-picked berry they had.

Father's day.  Marc and Poppy decided that some kayaking and fishing were in order.  Sammy was prepared for anything and everything...

Poppy's favorite outfit in the world.  (from my friend's etsy shop)  I was so relieved it still fit her this year- she would wear this skirt every day if she could...

You can find us at the farmer's market every Saturday morning from now til the end of summer.  Poppy loves picking out her own fruit and veggies and meeting up with friends from school...

the last day of pre-k...

The kids did a little recital of the songs they've learned throughout the year.  It was really cute.  Poppy was really into the songs.  A few of the other parents commented on how "intense" and "serious" she was about her singing.  Yes, indeed.

The directors of the school told me Poppy should get the award for being the biggest butterfly.  She started out so quiet and shy two years ago.  She cried for a long time even right up until last summer when we dropped her off.  This year was a different story.  She loved going to school every day to learn new things and make new friends.  She even had her own "bike gang" on the playground...

Sammy was an "unofficial" student in Poppy's class.   Every day he begged me to let him stay and play with the big kids...

Have you seen the new Doc McStuffins show?  It is the cutest thing ever and Poppy is absolutely obsessed with it.  She was using all of these make-shift "doctor" toys so we finally broke down and bought her a proper toy doctors kit.

Florida

We just got back from a perfect vacation in Florida.  My parents and Marc's mom were there at the same time, which was heaven for Poppy and Sam...

We spent lots of time at the beach...

And in the pool...

There were adventures in kayaking...

 which resulted in two tired babies...

There was a whirlwind day spent at disney...

 this little playground at the bottom of splash mountain was the highlight of the day for Sammy...

We rented a stroller towards the end of the day for Poppy to crash in and Sam flipped whenever he wasn't holding her hand...

We told Poppy she could pick out a souvenir and of course she bee-lined it right to the books.  She did not put this book down for the rest of the night (or the rest of the vacation)...

 There was lots of ice cream consumed, of course...

And that was our vacation.  It was absolutely perfect.  The weather was beautiful, lots of time spent with family, lots of relaxing.  Good times.
