4th of July

Check out her new bad-ass Sleeping Beauty sunglasses.  They are way too big for her and they always fall off within a minute, but she just loves to wear them.

So we spent the 4th down by the river hanging out with the fam.  Poppy had a blast playing with her cousins and staying up waaaay past her bedtime.

She loved the fireworks and pretended to catch them and share them with us.  As much as she loved them, she was barely awake by the time they were finished and then fell asleep within minutes of the car ride home.

Wow... you are so brave! The thought of Spencer staying up one minute past his bedtime makes me break into a cold sweat! So you can imagine my delight when 3 of our neighbors started setting off fireworks an hour after he went to sleep!

How did Poppy do with the late night sleep-wise?!

I think that little kids wearing sunglasses is my favorite thing in the whole world! I really hope my future child likes wearing them as much as Poppy does! She's adorable, as usual....

Ok, because I'm a total nerd, I want to know the same things Christine asked. Sorry to loop you into my nerd-dom, C.

I cannot believe she stayed up! Brendan was asleep by 7:30pm and the fireworks (which btw are across the street from our home) did not wake him up! My mom stayed here while he slept and not a peep! Go Poppy-I cannot believe they didn't scare her! I cannot wait til he can make it up for them.

Glad Poppy got to enjoy the fireworks. We opted out of them as they were too late and would possibly through our sleep schedule into a tailspin. Fireworks everywhere but Colin slept through them all. Thank God!

You are getting great Bokeh in your pics. Are you mostly using your 50mm? Great pictures and it looks like the summer home with the Little Miss is shaping up to be a wonderful one. Give her a big kiss from Auntie Courtney and tell her we will meet her at the zoo sometime soon to see the on again-off again love of elephants!
